| Why Do Nursing Homes Need This Service? |
Here is one reason among many: A patient falls in a nursing home and injures their hip. Normal procedure would be to load them in an ambulance and send them to the hospital. When they arrive the hospital x-rays the hip and it’s not broken. The nursing home is then responsible for the entire bill. The entire bill consists of the emergency room bill, the ambulance bill, the physician’s bill and any other bills associated with the trip.
